Hello my amazing, sweet friends!!!

I'm ashamed to see it's been about a year since my last post. Life has been crazy busy and it just plain got too overwhelming, the thought of trying to work full time, paint, teach, parent, be a good Grandma, travel and take care of myself. I wish I could say I'm super on top of everything, but the fact is, I'm not!  And I'm okay with that!

If there is one thing I have learnt from the last 12 months is that life is unpredictable. It's messy and chaotic! I can't always have things mapped and planned out.  And if I could......well then that just wouldn't be life then would it!!

Last year saw us introduce many new products to our collection.  We visited and taught in Biloela, Saint Lawrence, Mount Perry and of course in Rockhampton.  We attended markets in Rockhampton, Emerald, Biloela, Mackay, Brisbane, Capella and Hervey Bay.  I still get a buzz out of hearing people recognise my work and how excited they are to meet me and see my work.  It does my soul even more when I see the impact my work has on people and the wonderment on their faces as their eyes skip across my products.

We were also fortunate to become a stockist at Lehi's Tent, at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane.  Chantal and William are just the loveliest most helpful people.  So if you're in Brisbane and are  looking for some of my products make sure to pop in for a visit.

On a family level, we were blessed with our newest granddaughter!  Her name is Ava.  She is absolutely beaming with life and has given our family an extra layer of love.  She is now 6 months old and is the picture of all things cute!

We also managed to pull off the biggest surprise of the year for my Dad.  We had known for over a year that my Dad's brother Tony, his wife Lorraine and their son Shane were coming over from England.  Dad hadn't seen his brother in 37 years.  So can you imagine trying to keep their visit a secret for over a year??

I'm super thrilled that we did!  So three days before Christmas we arranged a family picnic at the Botanic Gardens with all the family at our "family tree"(a tree we have always had picnics and special events at), we played a game of hide and seek from my Dad's childhood, called Pom Pom 1,2,3 home.  We hid Uncle Tony and his family with my brother Chad and left them the last to be found.

The surprise was far better than I could have imagined!  It was wonderful to see them reunited after such a long time apart. There were tears and laughter, and a lot of stunned belief stares.  Everyone remarked on how alike they are and how even though they hadn't grown up together for long, they had so many likes and dislikes in common.

Then began three weeks of camping at Red Rock, trips to Stoney Creek, Cooberrie Park, Koorana Crocodile Farm, Keppel Island, glamping at Cool Waters and then ending it with a fishing charter for the two of them to finally get that fishing trip that they always talked about.

I'm so grateful for my family.  For the love and support we are to each other.  I'm grateful to be in a position to be able to enjoy them all.  I believe my life is my richer when I have them with me.

I am also grateful for my Whimsy Tribe.  I am grateful to all of you who have supported me and believed in my dream from the beginning and also those who have found me along the way.  I'm grateful for those who have purchased and ordered my creations  and also for those who have trusted me with their vulnerability during our workshops.  I have witnessed real personal growth in all of us and it's so humbling to be a facilitator in your journey.

So from them bottom of my heart I give you my deepest thankyou.  I can't wait to see what this year holds for us all.  But rest assured. . .I am with you. . . I believe in you. . .I love you all xxx
